Loeb Awards
This year’s Loeb Award finalists have been announced. Two of my friends are up for awards: Adam Penenberg, for his terrific Fast Company piece “Revenge of the Nerds”, and Ted Bridis for a report on Port security. Damon Darlin, an editor I work with sometimes at the NY Times, who is beloved by everyone I know who knows him (and who has made fantastic suggestions to my own stories when he’s worked on them) is on a team that’s up for an award. Chris Anderson’s book on the Long Tail, a brilliantly packaged set of ideas and arguments, is also a finalist.
